Linda Wiebe
...is a Visual Artist and Educator living in Goderich, Ontario
"My artwork in this series honours Lake Huron and our ever-transforming, ever-loving connections to this body of water. I am creating colours of the lake inspired encaustic paintings as well as some encaustic painted assemblages made from found objects that have been carried on the lake to the shore in Goderich, Ontario."

The Great Lake Huron
welcomes us into her
ever transforming
ebb and flow.

She whispers to us
a multitude of possibilites.

We are connected.
Over half of our body is made up of water.
And so we are easily carried into her rhythm,
opening us to all that is.

In her studio Linda is currently creating images in mixed media combined with encaustic paint; a mixture of beeswax, dammar resin and pigment.
She has an Honours B.A. Studio Art from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Western Ontario.
